high school Activities

During freshman year, SV students begin to build their activities resumes.  Adding information yearly makes it easier to remember activities, awards and community service.  Your college applications will ask that you recount the things that you’ve done during your high school years - and it’s easy to forget things!  The act of putting together your resume and adding to it regularly will help you to get all of the required information into one document and will also help you to remember all the things you’ve done, in the event that you need to speak about them at an interview.

how do colleges value your activities?

Are all activities considered equal on a college application?  It is pretty obvious that this is not the case however, how do you know where your activity falls in the level of importance?  CollegeVine posted a blog that helps to break down the value of high school activities by tiers.  When you access the CollegeVine extracurricular activities section blogs, you will find yourself falling down a habit hole of valuable information.
