Science & Engineering Camps

  • Research Science Institute (RSI)The RSI summer camp is organized by CEE Educational Institute in MIT campus. Approximately 80 high school students are selected each year. It is a Six-week program. Students are expected to be involved in some research programs in the first 5 weeks. During the final week of RSI, students prepare written and oral presentations on their research projects. The summer camp is free. The camp website is http://www.cee.org/research-science-institute 
  • 2. Summer Science Program (SSP)The SSP camp are in two locations including New Mexico and Colorado. The camp is open to highly gifted high school students. It is a 39-day summer camp and each location accepts 35 entrants. The camp website is http://www.summerscience.org/home/index.php 
  • 3. Young Engineering and Science Scholars (YESS)The YESS program at Caltech is a three-week summer program. It is open to minority students in the United States (Asian student is not considered as minority academically). The program is free. The program website is http://yess.caltech.edu/ 
  • 4. Minority Introduction to Engineering & Science (MITES)MITES is a science and technology summer camp for minority students in the United States (Asian student is not considered as minority academically). MITES is a six-week program which is free of charge. The program website is http://engineering.mit.edu/programs/mites 
  • 5. Women's Technology Program (WTP)The MIT Women's Technology Program(WTP) is an academic summer camp for 11th grade female students. Students could attend WTP in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science or Mechanical Engineering. WTP is a four-week program and free of charge. The program website is http://wtp.mit.edu/ 
  • 6.Carnegie Mellon University - SAMSThe SAMS summer program is in Carnegie Mellon University. It targets at STEM and Free of charge. The program website is http://admission.enrollment.cmu.edu/pages/diversity-sams 
  • 7. Clark Scholars ProgramThe Clark Scholars Program at Texas Tech University is a seven-week program. The camp is mainly related to scientific experiments.   • 8. California State Summer School for Mathematics and Science (COSMOS)COSMOS is a four-week summer camp for high school students. There are four COSMOS campus in the University of California system -- UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC San Diego and UC Santa Cruz. The program website is https://cosmos-ucop.ucdavis.edu/
